Shelburne is a town with a lot to offer whether you are planning a visit, short or long, want to establish a business, or are looking for a friendly, dynamic place to make your home. Since it was founded in 1996, the Shelburne Business and Professional Association has been committed to supporting all of those groups: welcoming tourists, encouraging potential businesses, building mutually beneficial networks for the existing professional, commercial and service businesses in the town, and putting our combined energy and expertise to work for the benefit of the community.
Located on the shores of Lake Champlain, with spectacular views of the Adirondacks and Green Mountains, home to several Vermont icons, including Shelburne Farms and Shelburne Museum, the town has much to offer visitors and SBPA is leading a campaign to raise awareness among visitors to the state with its Experience Shelburne and Stay A While campaigns, and building partnerships with local and state tourism organizations.
The Shelburne Farmers Market, held every Saturday from mid-May to mid-October on the historic Parade Ground in Shelburne Village, celebrates and supports the agricultural community with a bounty of locally-produced fresh produce as well as crafts and prepared food. SBPA founded the market in 2004, and it has proved its value to the economic strength of the community, a magnet that attracts both local shoppers and tourists. A highlight of the annual calendar is Shelburne Day when local businesses, most of them members of the SBPA, set up information tables; it's a chance for the general public to learn about the businesses, professional services and entrepreneurial spirit of the town.
Whether you are considering membership in SBPA and want to learn about the benefits of belonging to Shelburne's 'chamber of commerce', or if you are planning a visit and want to know what we have to offer for attractions, dining, lodging and shopping, you will find that information here.
Welcome to Shelburne.
